Take high-resolution, clear photos in bright natural light, focusing on the dial, movement, and engravings. Essential shots include the dial, caseback, crown, movement, clasp, and serial numbers.
Watch Images
Front Dial (Macro): A detailed, straight-on shot to check text sharpness, logo placement, hand alignment, and lume consistency.
Caseback (Exterior): The back of the watch, including any engravings, serial numbers, or model numbers. If your watch has an exhibition or display case back get a high-quality photo of the movement showing any names, or model numbers.
Crown & Sides: Showing the crown logo, screw-down functionality, and case finishing (polished/brushed).
Clasp/Buckle & Bracelet: Photos of the clasp codes, hallmark engravings on the inside/outside, and links.
Only Do the Following if you have the proper tools and knowledge to use them. Improper handling can reduce the value of your watch.
Movement: A high-quality photo of the movement to identify authentic brand finishing, bridges, and calibers.
Caseback (Interior): If possible, remove the caseback to photograph the inside markings.
Lug Area: Pictures between the lugs, where serial/model numbers are often engraved (remove the strap for this)
